I’m even beginning to fall in love with Granada online
I tried to start putting together a budget for my move to Granada this evening - still on UK time :( - but got distracted by GranadaInfo.com’s Spanish vocab guide. It isn’t exactly the kind of guide your secondary school teacher would recommend but who ever needed to ask their way to the Town Hall anyway?
It’s idiosyncratic and the site isn’t the most modern in terms of appearance or finding your way around, but that’s Granada for you, online and off. I don’t want to stretch the websites-to-real-world metaphor but Granada Info and the associated language site definitely have the thing I love most about Andalucia. If I had to sum it up I’d say “Old world meets new, ignores new, makes friends anyway”.
Particularly loved the Hangman in Spanish. I thought my vocab was OK but I was so wrong. So very, very wrong.
